Toyota Corolla 2023 with GR Sport model introduced in Malaysia!

The Toyota Corolla GR Sport is a variant of the popular Toyota Corolla model that features sportier design elements and performance enhancements. The "GR" in the name stands for Gazoo Racing, Toyota's motorsports division, which is known for its involvement in racing and performance-oriented vehicles. UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) officially debuted the new Toyota Corolla GR Sport today, joining previous sportified models such as the Hilux GR Sport and the Corolla Cross GR Sport.

In terms of performance, the 2023 Toyota Corolla retains its pre-update previous version, as it is powered by the same naturally-aspirated 1.8-litre 4-cylinder engine. The engine is still linked with a CVT that replicates 7 virtual gears, as it was previously.

Toyota Corolla GR Sport Interior & Features

The Toyota Corolla GR Sport boasts a simple interior with all of the amenities and equipment you'd expect from a high-quality vehicle. It has a black inside, just like the other GR versions. The sports seats are quite comfy, with the GR emblem sewn on the headrests and matched with side shoulder coverings and red stitching. The Corolla GR Sport, which comes in three exterior colour options—Platinum White Pearl MC, Red Mica Metallic, and Attitude Black—has also received significant mechanical upgrades.
